Overview

This 5-star guest house occupies a secluded location on the Garden Route. It provides far-reaching views across Knysna Bay and the beach is just a few minutes’ walk away.

The suites at Augusta Bay Guest House feature large living spaces and views across the lagoon towards the Outeniqua Mountains. Each suite is individually decorated, and is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV and an en suite bathroom.

Guests of Augusta Bay have the choice of English or Continental breakfast, which is served in the central atrium overlooking the pool deck. There is also a bar and lounge area where guests can relax beside the outdoor pool.

There are many recreation activities available locally, including golf, abseiling, hiking and white water rafting, and the guest house staff can help arrange trips. Alternatively guests can discover many local boutiques, markets and art galleries in the village centre, 5 minutes’ drive away.

Drive through Knysna past the hospital on the left (traffic light), pass one more traffic light and after the Kwikspar and Caltex garage on the right, at the bottom of the hill, turn right onto George Rex Drive. Proceed with the lagoon on your right, past the Premium Hotel Resort on the right, past the golf course on the left, past the turn-off to Leisure Isle on the right, staying on George Rex, all the way to the traffic circle. Proceed around the traffic circle and take the road down the hill towards the Heads. Just before the public parking area at the end of the road, you will see Augusta Bay on the left hand side. Important information	Please note that this guest house has many stairs on the property and is not wheelchair or walking stick friendly. Renovations is currently being done to the building opposite Augusta Bay Guest House. Working hours are from 7.30 am until 4.30 pm and only on bank opening days.
